PROJECT OVERVIEW
Greenrise is proud to play a key role in the development of the Halifax Solar Farm, a large-scale renewable energy project spanning 872 acres in Halifax, NC. In partnership with Blue Ridge Power, we provided critical erosion control services to stabilize the site and protect natural resources throughout the construction phase.
EROSION CONTROL SERVICES DELIVERED
- 38,000 linear feet of wire-back silt fence
- 42,000 linear feet of compost sock
- Environmental compliance within a tight 1.5-month deadline
- Rapid material procurement and mobilization
This 100 MW solar energy development presented a unique challenge: nesting of an endangered bat species in nearby woodlands meant all stormwater and erosion control measures had to be installed in just six weeks.
Greenrise was awarded the contract mid-week, with boots expected on the ground by that Friday. Thanks to our responsive team and strong vendor partnerships, we sourced and delivered all necessary materials in under two weeks, without compromising quality or compliance.
WHY IT MATTERS:
This project underscores the agility, expertise, and fast turnaround that Greenrise brings to large-acreage solar construction sites. Whether it’s a compressed timeline, sensitive ecosystems, or complex environmental compliance requirements, our team keeps your project protected and on track.
