Courtyard at Walters Farm

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Greenrise partnered with JO Flowe Grading to provide comprehensive erosion control services and slope stabilization support for the Courtyard at Walters Farm in Huntersville, NC, located within the Charlotte Metro region.

This 78-acre residential development includes 117 single-family homes and required long-term stormwater management solutions designed to protect infrastructure, stabilize slopes, and maintain regulatory compliance throughout construction and beyond.

Greenrise delivered engineered stabilization systems and sediment control measures to support stormwater compliance, reduce erosion risk, and improve site durability. By implementing permanent and temporary erosion control strategies, the project team helped safeguard drainage infrastructure while preparing the site for long-term residential use.

This project highlights Greenrise’s expertise in supporting large-scale residential development projects with effective stormwater management and erosion control solutions that prioritize environmental protection and site performance.

SCOPE OF WORK

Greenrise supported erosion control and stabilization efforts through the following services:

• Stabilized 5-acre retention pond slopes with double-net straw matting
• Installed Bio-Net blankets to reinforce soil stability
• Installed super silt fence to prevent off-site sediment migration
• Implemented engineered outlet protection to reduce discharge erosion
• Installed rock and coconut coir baffles to slow flow and limit sediment movement

These integrated stormwater management and sediment control solutions were designed to improve long-term slope stability and reduce environmental impact during active residential construction.
