PROJECT OVERVIEW
Another successful project completed in partnership with Baker Roofing Company on the FedEx campus in Memphis, TN. This project transformed an underutilized courtyard that had exceeded 40 years of service life into a modern rooftop amenity designed for daily use, long-term performance, and visual appeal.
Originally constructed decades ago, the courtyard no longer met functional or aesthetic expectations. Greenrise supported a comprehensive system upgrade that began with full demolition and concluded with the installation of integrated green roof, paver, planter, and amenity systems. The revitalized space now functions as a contemporary outdoor environment that supports employee use while aligning with the performance standards expected of a corporate campus.
This project reflects the growing demand for high-quality green roof amenity deck solutions in Memphis, particularly within large-scale commercial properties seeking to enhance usability while extending rooftop system longevity.
Greenrise provided the full scope for green roof system components and finish elements, working in close coordination with Baker Roofing, who executed the waterproofing scope. This collaboration ensured proper sequencing, system compatibility, and protection of the building envelope throughout construction.

PROJECT IMPACT
The completed courtyard now serves as a fully functional rooftop amenity that supports daily use while maintaining long-term system performance. Integrated pedestal pavers, custom planters, shade structures, and green roof components work together to create a cohesive outdoor environment that enhances both form and function.
By reimagining an aging rooftop courtyard through coordinated system planning and installation support, this project demonstrates how thoughtfully designed green infrastructure can elevate underutilized spaces. The FedEx Courtyard stands as a strong example that a green roof amenity deck can balance durability, design intent, and long-term value for commercial properties in the Memphis area.
